پرسش:
آيا اعتقاد به عصمت پيامبران و امامان باعث نمى شود كه رسيدن به مقام و درجه آنان براى ما ناممكن بنمايد و سستى مؤمنان را در راه رسيدن به كمال و معنويت در پى آورد؟
پاسخ:
با سلام و عرض ادب و احترام
پاسخ اين پرسش در ضمن چند نكته بيان مى شود:
1. مقام عصمت، منحصر به پيامبران و امامان نيست و انسان هاى ديگر نيز مى توانند به اين مقام دست يابند و به جايى برسند كه از انجام گناه و حتّى مكروه دورى گزينند. پس اعتقاد به عصمت پيامبران و امامان، به معنى دست نايافتنى بودن آن براى ديگران نيست و نمى تواند بهانه اى براى سستى در راه رسيدن به درجات بالا شمرده شود.
البته عصمت پيامبران و امامان، با عصمت ديگر انسان ها در دو مسأله با يكديگر تفاوت دارند:
الف. عصمت پيامبران و امامان از سوى خدا تضمين شده؛ ولى عصمت انسان هاى ديگر، قابل زوال و از بين رفتن است.
ب. عصمت پيامبران و امامان به معنى مصون بودن آنان از هر گونه خطا و لغزش و گناه است؛ امّا عصمت در ديگران، تنها پرهيز از گناه است. در نتيجه، خطاهاى غير عمدى و لغزش هايى كه گناه شمرده نمى شود، در انسان هاى عادى معصوم، كاملا محتمل است.[1]
3. اعتقاد به عصمت پيامبران و امامان نه تنها نمى تواند مانع راه تكامل انسان ها گردد؛ بلكه مشوّق انسان ها در مسير معنويت نيز خواهد بود؛ زيرا همين كه مى بينيم گروهى از انسان ها از نعمت عصمت برخوردارند، آن را براى خود قابل دسترسى تر مى بينيم. اگر در ميان انسان ها كسى از اين مقام برخوردار نبود، رسيدن به آن خارج از دسترس مى نمود.
