آیا خدا می تواند سنگ بزرگی بیافریند که توانایی برداشتن ان را نداشته باشد؟
پرسش:
آیا خدا می تواند سنگ بزرگی بیافریند که توانایی برداشتن ان را نداشته باشد؟
پاسخ :
با سلام و عرض ادب و احترام
براي پاسخ خوب است نخست از شما يك سؤال روشن و بدیهی بپرسيم؛ آيا مي شود به يك پرفسور رياضي گفت: اگر رياضي دان قوي هستي، طوري محاسبه كن كه [7 = 2 x 2] شود!! اگر بگوید: خیر؛ در اين صورت آيا صحيح است به او نسبت عدم توانايي بدهيم؟!
حال با توجه به این مسئله در پاسخ سؤال از قدرت خدا در ابتدا می گوییم:
قدرت يعنى «توانايي فاعل مختار براى كارى كه ممكن است از او سر بزند» پس قدرت مربوط به فاعل است و فاعل به گونه ای است كه فعلى را كه ممكن است انجام شود مىتواند انجام بدهد و مىتواند انجام ندهد، اما متعلق قدرت چيست؟
آيا هر چيزى متعلق قدرت است؟ مسلما چنين نيست، متعلق قدرت، كارى است كه امكان تحقق داشته باشد و چيزى كه ذاتا محال يا مستلزم محال باشد، مورد تعلق قدرت واقع نمىشود؛ زيرا مقدور نيست.
پس اين كه مىگوييم خداوند بر هر كارى تواناست، منظور ما اين نيست كه بر چيزهايى كه محال هستند نيز تواناست. زيرا آنها كار نيستند تا قدرت به آنها تعلق بگيرد. مثالى كه ذكر كرديد كه خداوند سنگى را خلق كند كه نتواند بلند كند، نيز محال ذاتى است؛ و اصلاً قدرت خدا بر آن تعلق نمىگيرد.
با دقت در اين گونه ها مثال ها معلوم مي شود که اصل سؤال بي معني است يعني خود سؤال نافي خودش مي باشد.
توضيح مطلب آن که وقتي گفته مي شود «خدا سنگي را بيافريند که نتواند آن را حرکت دهد» معنايش آن است که خدا موجودي فراتر از قدرت خود بتواند خلق کند و حال آن که مخلوق (همان موجود فراتر از قدرت خدا) نمي تواند از خالق و قدرتش فراتر باشد وگرنه مخلوق نمي تواند باشد زيرا اگر مخلوق است پس نمي تواند فراتر از خالق باشد و اگر فراتر است پس مخلوق نيست و این همان تناقض است. یعنی چیزی هم خودش باشد و هم خودش نباشد.
مثال قرار گرفتن کره زمین با بزرگی خود در درون تخم مرغ با حفظ کوچکی خود نیز از همین نوع موارد است؛ بنابراین همه موارد شبیه به آن که به عنوان معمای قدرت طرح می شود ، یا تناقض است و یا به تناقض می رسد که ذاتاً محال است.
خلاصه کلام آن که با اعتقاد به اين که خداوند برتر از هر چيز است ديگر نمي توان چيزي را گفت که فراتر از خدا و صفات او باشد.
اين بدان معنا نيست كه قدرت خداوند محدود است. بلكه قدرت خداوند نامتناهى است؛ اما قدرت مقدور مىخواهد كه اصطلاحا به آن متعلق و مورد قدرت مىگويند و محالات ذاتى از دايره مقدورات خارجند.
بنابراين سؤال از اين كه «آيا خداوند تواناست به اين كه سنگى بسازد، خودش نتواند بلند كند» از نوع معماهایی است که اصل سؤال اشتباه است.
