The reward for the prophet

In His name
The reward for the prophet:

"I don’t want anything except money"
"I don’t want anything except respect"
Do you see any contradiction between these two sentences?
Yeah, surely there is a contradiction. Because when you say "except", by this "exclusion" you deny any other thing, i.e. all other things are refuted and one of these all things is "respect". So when in the second sentence you ask for something else-respect for example-, in fact you negate the first sentence.
But if you say:
"I don't follow except the Quran"
"I don't follow except the book of Mohammad"
There is no contradiction here, since in the first sentence you have mentioned that you have faith in the Quran and in the second, you have mentioned another term for the Quran again i.e." the book of Mohammad ".so these two things are one in reality and only they are different terms for one thing.
So when someone uses two"except"s, one must be wrong and a mistake unless when those two things are one in reality.
Now:
In the Quran the prophet is told:
قُلْ ما أَسْئَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِلاَّ مَنْ شاءَ أَنْ يَتَّخِذَ إِلى‏ رَبِّهِ سَبيلاً (فرقان:57)
Say," I do not ask you any reward for it, except that anyone who wishes should take the way to his Lord."
In another verse:
قُلْ لا أَسْئَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْراً إِلاَّ الْمَوَدَّةَ فِي الْقُرْبى(الشوری:23)
Say," I do not ask you any reward for it except love of my relatives."
there are two "except"s here, but certainly there is no problem with it because these are the sayings of Allah (S.T) so for these two verses to be right we have to say that these two things that the prophet asks for ,are one thing in reality and it means that if you want to take your way to Allah(S.T) it is through Ahlulbait, those people that if you love them and follow them ,this love leads you to the right path and when you are guided to the right path it makes the prophet happy, so in fact the reward that he demands from us is for our own good, as The Quran says:
قُلْ ما سَأَلْتُكُمْ مِنْ أَجْرٍ فَهُوَ لَكُمْ (سبأ:47)
Say," Whatever reward I may have asked you is for your own good.
*******
والسلام علی من اتبع الهدی(طه:47)
May peace be upon him who follows guidance!
